Thompson Hearing Services Covid-19 Update
Dangerous times need strong decisions. We will be closing the clinics so to avoid all unnecessary face-to-face patient contact until at least the end of March 2020 to help the wider community battle the spread of the Covid-19 Virus. This is to protect not only ourselves but our franchisees and their employees.
As the government suggests we should avoid being within 2 metres of each other and we cannot achieve this in clinic, which is why we have decided on these measures. However, we do need to continue supporting our patients whilst adhering to the guidelines of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the NHS.
Therefore, we will continue to keep all lines of communication open. Online and telephone support will be available. If patients require batteries or other consumables they can order them over the phone or through email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can arrange to have these sent out by post. If you have hearing aids that need to be repaired, please contact 028 90020144 or 08006446133 and we will discuss the necessary arrangements for this with you.
For the greater good of our community we urge all of our clients to take similar decisions to enable social distancing measures to work in order to curve the spread of the virus from peaking too sharply and enable our already stretched Health system to cope with an unprecedented challenge.
We feel it is our responsibility as healthcare practitioners to lead others in our community in this regard. Please adhere to the NHS’s advice here: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
We will be in touch with all those who have existing appointments to discuss their options individually and we will have more information on our website and social media platforms.
We wish everyone good luck & good health during this global crisis & continue to look after your hearing health now and into the future.
Yours in health,
Thompson Hearing Services
